use subroutines for code reuse
master regular expression
write my GUIs with Perl
abandon CGI in favor of Plack and some modern web framework
put my code in modules and create CPAN distributions
test and document my code as I write it
write OOP with or without animal help
finally switch to a modern Perl style
detoxify from Perl and PerlMonks
choose another language because Perl is dead
not plan for good resolutions because the road to hell is paved with good intentions

There are no rules, there are no thumbs..
Reinvent the wheel, then learn The Wheel; may be one day you reinvent one of THE WHEELS.

Plack is intended for use by framework authors; it's too low level to be a direct replacement for CGI	[reply]

I suggest splitting it into two options: abandon CGI in favor of some modern web framework learn Plack and write a new web framework Also, the title should point the reader to choose one answer, otherwise it's a to-do list, not a poll.	[reply]
