The nav ribbon at the top right side of your screen under the default PerlMonks configuration includes a link to Perl News, which takes you to http://perlmonks.org/?node=Perl%20News. That's probably what you're looking for. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

As for the module: you might consider releasing a new version of the module that only contains a bumped version number, an update to the Changes file, and an edit to the POD listing you as the co-maintainer. If there's a new Github repo, that can be listed in the POD as well, and also put in the meta data.

The reason for this is to get people to stop bothering the old maintainer, and to contact you with questions/issues that may not be appropriate for the RT.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
