I have not tried anything because all the time I had spent searching has not helped find a solution, hence I asked. After I asked the question, I found what I'm currently leaning toward is to use libreoffice in headless mode and creating a macro to run execute ".uno:UpdateAllIndexes", but still open to other solutions. To add in case someone searches and finds this response. The best link with the libreoffice headless macro approach is like https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/46586/how-to-automatically-update-indices-in-headless-mode/
