Yes, but how do Python programmers know of your work?
By reading reddit, or other blog aggregating services. By googling, and finding my pages, or my CPAN modules. By talking to me.
Also frankly I don't care about python programmers; convincing those that already have found their favorite dynamic programming language is often nearly impossible, and not efficient.
IMHO it's much more important to focus on new programmers, or those that don't know dynamic languages yet.
Otherwise we might risk spinning circles. Patting ourselves on the back. There's a whole world out there waiting to hear about Perl. Don't let the competition squash us out! (And be humble!!!)
You're right there. And you're welcome to improve that situation. I don't think that I can do much more than I can do now. Sure, I could do less coding/testing/patching and more blogging, but I don't think it would benefit the perl community more.
