What you need to do is update the lines that pull in the constants like msoFalse
Here are all the 'use' lines that I had to use to get second example to work with Office 2003:
use warnings;
use strict;
use Win32::OLE;
use Win32::OLE::Const 'Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library';
use Win32::OLE::Const 'Microsoft Office Runtime 1.0 Type Library';
use Win32::OLE::Const 'Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library';

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
